I finally got to see an older episode of the "I Love Toy Trains" TV show with Carl's RR featured. It played on our channel 345 on Direct TV yesterday and auto recorded. I have emailed back and forth with Carl a few times. He had helped me with my TMCC issues on my mainly DCS layout.
I had originally considered going to S scale for a few moments, when I left G scale. Right then there wasn't enough modern RR equipment (diesels) to satisfy my wants. I didn't see any S scale stuff around here. So I brushed the suggestion aside. I went into 2 rail O. Some years later I saw Lionel release scale wheeled AF stuff and finally even MTH enter into S scale. So it's one of those decisions that just keeps haunting me.
Seeing Carl's RR today was another segment into that haunting. It is very nice with some great scenery and great looking track. It seems to run very well with his mods to his equipment. I keep his website handy for any reference to TMCC system issues. It was cool to put a face to the source of TMCC help I received in the past.
