We have an 8x10 MTH DCS layout without any elevation changes. We're in the process of adding a TIU, WIU, AIU, terminal blocks, six switches, accessories, etc., and I'm wondering how best to manage the wires. I've thought about laying 5-6 inch blocks of 3/4" thick wood under the track joints to screw the track pieces together and effectively create small gaps between the track and rug so I can run the wires easier. Not sure if this will cause some track/train stability issues or something else I haven't thought of. Any thoughts on this or other suggestions to best manage all of the wiring?
