This is what I wound up with on my temporary experimental layout.  Instead of the rigid brass contact wire, I mentioned in a past post, in this thread, I opted for twisted copper grounding wire.  I stretched the wire between two fixed points, 5" above the rail head.  This works well for GG1s and EP5s.  I used 3/8" diameter bolt rod for the masts.  1/8" x 1/2" horizontal members of aluminum.  1/16" diameter brass rod for the catenary wire.
