California Zephyr set:
Williams E-8's A-B-A set. Many moons ago, I called Charles to get a powered trailing A unit for this set and he sent the motorized unit without the top shell; he even reversed the E unit so it would start up backwards.
The 8 passenger cars are from MTH. The California Zephyr cars came as a 5 car, 2 car slpr/diner and one vista full length dome car separate sets.

Just noticed those old painted two by fours holding up the HO layout. That brings back memories. My first house in 1973 had a built in pantry in the basement. Can't have that kind of stuff blocking my build of a layout so 'down it came' and the 2X4's were used for 3 different basement layouts (this being the last!).
Back then, I was called 'cheap', now I'm environmentally friendly 
When no room left, use that space under the HO layout
Cleared out all those empty boxes, put in some lights and lay some track.
