If your layout has an auto crash or construction site you may need traffic cones. This is simple enough for young children to help. The only materials needed are a 1/4" wooden dowel, white glue, paint and thin cardboard, mylar or construction paper.
To make the cone body simply sharpen the dowel with a pencil sharpener and trim it to length with a Zona saw. Make the bases using a paper hole punch. Glue the pieces together and paint. I used Testor's 1173 Neon Orange.
Now your 1-1/2" tall police officers have a way to control traffic.
