I will be attending my 6th York TCA train meet this October as a vendor in the Orange Hall. Since October 1, I have thought that making a limited run of shadowboxes and building models of historical York buildings would be a lot of fun. We're going to take it on for this October and I have found a really neat building as the first in what is intended to be a series. This particular building will allow us to show off our method of laser scored masking for painted building signage. We will produce it in shadowbox and building format, lit individually on all floors.

What building is it, say you? I want to have a little fun with this. The first person to post here with the correct answer will receive the shadowbox version as the prize! Details and preorder information to follow later today. All preorders will be available by the 2018 York TCA Train Meet.

Hi Doug:

Two Buildings in York hold special meaning for me. My first guess at your contest is the VIKING CLUB - home to many a great AOL Train Gang gathering.

My second choice is a little obscure - there is a wonderful dive bar right outside the back gate. One of Erols favorite places

Either way - looking forward to your announcement Doug.

WE HAVE A WINNER! Actually, there will be two. Gene for having the right answer and Joe for finding the building that is going to be modeled.

The project will begin with additional research through York Historical groups. The project will be limited to an overall production of 100 shadowboxes and 50 buildings. You may order them on the website by looking under CityScape Shadowboxes and CityScape Buildings, respectively. Our July 4th week discount of 10% has been extended to end tomorrow the 13th. Enter HAPPYJULY4TH! when you check out to get your savings!
