I have a postwar Lionel #350 Transfer Table with an extension, and it looks like it could use a good clean-up. Is there any way to do so. It does operate and works well....
Like most postwar stuff, try a small dab of dish detergent worked into a damp cloth. (old T-shirt or micro-fiber)Then a clean damp cloth to rinse and then a dry cloth.
A very small amount of detergent and not dripping wet.
Your cleaning dirt off of reasonably durable paint or plastic. No chemicals.
