Closest match for Lionel Santa Fe Hi-Level cars 6-39129

Did Lionel ever make passenger cars that match up to this set in design and length/scale?    Granted I lack  a transition car, other than a 3rd rail/Sunet or K-line model did any other manufacturer make a transition car?

Those should be either 18" or 19". If you wanted to match them with a transition car, your best bet is to get an MTH Superliner or Lionel Superliner and repaint it. Otherwise, the Sunset/3rd Rail sets are awesome. While they are 2200 for 8 cars, it's still a good deal because of the quality and how little they make.
