I have weathered some buildings in the past but I have never weathered a train car. A friend of mine wanted this K-Line Iowa State quarter car weathered. It has real coal for a load. I used powders and real coal dust.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and suggestions as I want to make sure I've done this right for him.

Ron - I like it a lot. One of the big problems I run into when a customer asks for weathering is that "one persons weathering is an other's mess". I always take a minimalist approach and let the customer tell me to go on or stop.
