Friends,

I am at the point in my layout construction where I need to consider specifics for a central control area. I would love to see your pictures and hear your thoughts.

General arrangements, materials for switch mounting, accessibility are areas I need to start considering. Thank you for posting any pictures you have I am confident they will help me.

Thank you for the link, my feeble search missed that thread. I really appreciate the idea of pull out shelves. I will have 3ea. Z-4000s  and 2 TIUs as well as approx. 36 switches and maybe 16 isolation toggles.

A few other questions: how important is the mounting of the TIUs. I have heard it is recommended above the tracks but that will be very awkward.

Any good suggestion for individual whisker track isolation switch (14) other than toggles

I'm also looking for a panel material to mount DZ1000 pushbutton controls with terminal blocks on the underside of the fabricated panel
