Will a PS3 engine operate in conventional mode if the PS3 board fails and DCS no longer functions?
sorry if this has been asked before. I’m trying to understand if conventional operation and DCS are independent of each other. All I have ever done in the past is operate the engines and never really learned what is going on to make them operate.

it can fail in either of 2 ways dcs not work with remote but conventional still works and the reverse conventional fail and dcs works. sometimes if dcs fails you can do a conventional reset with z4000 transformer!

Probably very unlikely. While there are board failures that would just affect DCS, most board failures would affect both command and conventional operation.

The 3rd way is the whole thing fails. I have seen boards with no DCS just conventional. DO not think I have seen the opposite though. G
