I'm new to the OGR site and forum. I should have been a member a long time ago. Anyhow, I'm expanding my layout (to 13'x6') and adding LED lighting for the first time. I got a used 1950's - early 1960"s  (I think) ZX 275 watt transformer for Christmas. It works great. I will be running 3 trains on 3 interconnected loops. I'm adding a new downtown area with several buildings. I bought a roll (strip) of 3528 LED's and am going to use them to light up the rooms of the buildings. I have been using a old Lifelike Hobby Transformer to power my AC street lights (extracted from AC Christmas tree light string bulbs), and the DC output from it to power my DC lamps separate string (requiring 12VDC).

I want to eliminate the Lifelike transformer and use one of the 4 ZX 275 controls to power the new LED 3528 building lights (and new streetlights).

How can I transform the ZX 275 AC output to provide 12VDC to the new LED's?

Thanks! that is exactly what i need!

Remember, because they can work with either an ac or dc input, you can power a buss with one, off the xfrmr, then use others to adjust one or more buildings to other voltages to suit your need.  This is a pretty good buy for 10 shipped free.  Forum rules disallow direct link to auction sites, so put in the item number in the site search box.  Always good to have extras for expansion or changes later on.5DCB0BD0-691B-4E76-9E2F-8CB01AF06268
