Been trying to contact him for a couple of weeks and no reply. His name is Dave, right? http://www.locomotiveworksinc.com/?page_id=21

Tough to get a hold of. He has some detail items listed on the bay at this time. So he’s still around.

Although I am leaving the site up, I am currently not taking any new orders at this time.
I am finishing up the projects that are currently in house and will be making some changes once everything has shipped. Due to the incredibly high cost of shipping and some other contributing factors, I have decided I will be switching to kits rather than finished buildings
I will also be making new custom parts and building details for scratch builders.

Sad, I have several of his building. A true master. I have his water tank and the light is out. Weird being LED. Would like to get a replacement, I'll install. If I can get a hold of him.
I believe Dave Duhamel also generated the kits for the Frank Ellison building that Dennis Brennan has been selling. Dave also would assemble and paint these kits quite reasonably. Shipping probably was a big cost for these delicate structures. Perhaps Dennis will find someone else willing to assemble and paint his buildings. Check with him at https://brennansmodelrr.com/.
Gary, I just received my service platforms a week or so ago and they are great. Call and leave him a message. He had a nasty spell with Covid that set him back a number of weeks so I know that has had a big impact on his ability to get ahold of. He has great buildings and even in kit form will be great to get.
I am happy that he is fine. I have sent several e-mails and left several phone messages as well. I would like to purchase a roundhouse for my large MTH Premier Engines: 2 Big Boys, 1 Y6b, 1 Yellowstone, 2 Y-3's, 1 Class A and other steam engines. I am planning on purchasing a 34" fully indexed turntable within the next 30-45 days. Feedback welcomed on Ross or Millhouse Studio fully indexed turntable as well as suggestions for a minimum 5 stall roundhouse. Thanks+
Best wishes to Dave.
The only built-up building I've ever purchased was his icing platform ... so nicely done and reasonably priced.

I have that one as well, nicely done. Feel better Dave
Sad to se Dave changing to kits from finished structures. Hope he recovers quickly. Can anyone suggest a similar passenger station with platforms that Dave had previously made ?
Mike
I do my own laser cuts that I design and assemble. Assembly is very time-consuming especially if removing the surface paper, then painting and/or staining is involved. Designing a laser cut model is not easy to do as well.
Most who do models that are made from laser cutting, do kits and don't assemble because of the time and labor involved.
Dave I understand.
I have a few of Dave's buildings and they are fantastic. I certainly would get his kits. Hope is health continues to improve.
Any update on how Dave is doing ? Anyone talk to him lately?
Dave is alive and well! As others have said, he no longer sells built-up kits. He does custom laser cutting and cuts the kits for my Ellison Tribute series. He's also cutting kits for Kershaw Craftsman Kits, as well as component parts for other kit manufacturers.

Nice! BTW, whats your next Ellison Tribute Series kit?
I'm working on the instructions for the Sanky Wanky Coffee Co. This kit will be available soon. After that we plan on releasing B'rrr Ice
Hi Dennis. Missed seeing you at April York. I did talk to Peter Gento at April York and it sounds like they may have a Delta Lines meeting in October. Hope to see you there in October even if you don’t have a table. I definitely want one of the Sanky Wanky Coffee Co kits. I have a place for it reserved on the layout. Ill be monitoring your Cescent Model Railroads website for its release. You make the best kits available.
Thank you
Rich R
Thanks Rich. Please note--Crescent is not selling my kits. They're only available on my site. If I go York, I'll definitely attend the meeting!
I have tried sending an email to the email address provided on the website. The email ended up being bounced back to me. Perhaps sometime during the week I will try to call him.
I have been trying to contact Dave for weeks via Email and both phone numbers. I Left messages for him on all. I believe he and his wife both had a serious bought with covid about a year ago. I have bought the 3 engine coaling tower , water tower and 2 ash pits from him. He does fantastic work. Supposedly he is getting out of the structure building process and is going to start making kits. I would love to get some of these kits from him. Please let us know if and how you reach him.
I purchased a 3 track coaling tower from Dave years ago at York, wish I bought / ordered more at that time. He had a beautiful Roundhouse and I have it's blueprint still hanging on the shop wall. Looking to purchase an Icing platform and Ice house, and a couple cinder hoists, kit form works too. Hope Dave is well.
Dave is an example of the community of model railroaders that makes our hobby better. I have one of Dave's coaling towers - it's large and covers 2 tracks, but what makes it very cool is the myriad lights t/o the structure.
I have hoped to get one of Brennan's meat packing complex kits, but need to finish other projects. Who is the other O kit builder mentioned above?
