Ah, finally something truly scale proportioned that will run on 027 curves! I can be a scale operator now!
All joking aside, anyone know what that middle unit is? I can't make out the whole cab number. Might it be some kind of remote unit?

this is really easy to model in O gauge, just cut an MTH Premier loco in pieces and kit-bash that little quasi-modo
...and keep the remaining pieces for the dump yard...the only challenge would be to mount a second coupler to the same single truck.

It must be a single truck calf/slave with controls. No room for a prime mover and generator.

Looks like I know know what to do with my ES44AC Non Powered Engine after the Shell Swap with the Powered Unit!
OK GRJ, One truck or Two, or maybe One truck with a coupler on both ends? LOL
All that work to put the new boxcar logo on it and then they cut it up. Pretty quick work considering it looks like this pic was taken in August. 
I didn't know Lee Willis worked for CSX.
If it isn't Photoshop fun could it be some type of active "training unit" for newer railroad personell?

A drill and JB-Weld, and you can have a coupler at both ends.
