Quite a few stock cars ran on the IC Western Lines ... my Grandfather sold hogs that went to the Chicago market , from Eleroy , IL ... he rode the caboose into Chicago, and back , after the hogs sold ...

The IC Stockcars would have been in standard boxcar red (brown) ...

i don’t think any stockcars made it to the IC “orange era” ... but , it looks nice 👍

The IC "Split Rail" logo came into being in 1968. Was modified in 1972 for the Illinois Central Gulf merger.

In 1988, the ICG divested itself of many of the ex-GM&O lines and returned to the Illinois Central name with the "Death Star" logo:

The 1988 to 1999 era of IC was the E.H.H. overhaul era.
