I am planning to switch over to Ross switches and track, and need to make some custom parts. I have my layout designed in SCARM software, and have used fastrack O-31 switches witch have a 10" straight, and a 33.75 degree turnout, which can be made into 45 degree with the 11.25 degree curve that comes, included, with the switch.

When cutting the Ross O-32 switch, I can get really close to the 10" straight, which will not be an issue, but the turn out will be more like 7.5 degrees if I leave the last angled turnout tie in place. If I remve that last tie, I can get to the full 11.25 degrees.

Anyway, I would like to be able to model the actual size of this cut down switch, and am curious if there is a way to do this in the SCARM, or even AnyRail software.

I have found how to cut straight and curve track in SCARM, but I am pretty sure you cannot custom tut the switches.

I have not found how to cut anything in AnyRail.

Thanks for any and all comments,

Roger

I thought this same question was already answered recently?

Take the switch out of your SCARM plan and substitute a flex piece for each leg, one at a time. Use right click and "snip off" to trim the flex track pieces as you wish. Now put the trimmed flex pieces in place of the switch, overlapping. Done.

As you noted, the "snip off" feature won't work directly on switches.

My apologies.

I had posted in another forum, and thought that I had not here.

The older I get, the less and less I can rely on my "Really Good" but 'Very Short" memory.

Again, my apologies,

Roger
