Can anybody chime in  with  experience with  these products. I've got a tubular track crossing with a E-Z Street road. I want the vehicle to always stop for the train (and then proceed once the train is clear of the crossing). Entirely too much T-boning going on. The train should never have to halt for the auto as that would probably cause a derailment. Specific product #s helpful. Appreciatively. UnclePeteRR

Thanks for the great posts everyone!   To answer the "separate transformer" question:  While you don't need to use one, it's always best to do so for two main reasons. First, the spikes from running your train goes right back through the transformer to whatever else is connected to it. In many cases, these spikes exceed 100 volts which can be damaging to other circuitry. That's why we made the Electrical Protection circuit breakers with spike protection. The second reason is that a lot of transformers that are used don't have enough power to power up the train let alone anything else. By using a separate power transformer, you eliminate other possible problems. We have a wall plug in transformer that does the job with spare power for other things (16 Volt AC Wall Transformer ).  Hope that helps you out.
