I am going to be set up running my vintage 2 rail O scale at this show this coming weekend. Any fellow 2 railers from the forum going to be attending? This is a nice NMRA show with 2 big rooms full of trains, plus a dedicated 2 rail O scale room(with a spash of non tinplate S). I am hunting a small loop of 48" radius Tru scale roadbed with or without rail if anybody is attending and has some to be rid of. This is the last show in this part of Indiana before Christmas that I am aware of. Hope to see a few 2 railers there. Mike

Take lots of pictures, please. Too far to travel but maybe if others see what's there they would make the trip in the future.
The actual amount of 2 rail to purchase is usualy fairly low, but overall the show is really nice and well attended. The hope is with the rebirth of the actual Indy 2 rail meet in September, that the 2 rail room will gain a couple more vendors. I am sure they would not have a problem if we outgrew the room! The more 2 rail we get out there in front of the public, the more interest we create. Its rare to even see it operating at a general train show in Indiana.
Amy and I will be there again this year.
I will have 4 tables set up to let me put a full loop of 24" radius AHM track up, bringing my Hines heavy Mikado, Saginaw PRR H10, Atwater CGW F3 AB, General models CNW NW2, a gaggle of vintage rolling stock to pull and my IMP Challenger to display. Hopeing to start developing interest in a modular club in this area. Mike
This show has EXPLODED! Year 17. I have been to all. This show is put on by the Central Indiana Division of the National Model Railroad Association.
Vendors are sold-out well in advance of the show. It would be even BIGGER if there was physically more room. Alas, there isn't.
The GREATEST thing about this show is that there are deals to be had! I have attended several other shows, including national shows, and you pay too much to get in, pay to park and the stuff there costs the same as I can buy it online.
This was, is and will continue to be my favorite show since I started attending train shows in the 70s.
See you there!
They could always put tables along each side of the hallway leading to the intersection to go left or right to the main rooms. Seen that done at a few shows to squeze in a few more small dealers. I just hope to see more 2 rail stuff each year. Be fun to do the same, with a 2 rail area for the Lebanon show after the holidays. That one does have room to grow a bit more in my opinion. If you know 2 rail guys in Indiana, let them know I am wanting to restart a modular 2 rail group to try to grow this segment of model railroading in Indiana.
The flyer for the show says that there will be a dedicated room for 2-rail O and S. Doesn't specify if that's for layouts or vendors, or both.
Unfortunately, it's the same weekend as Trainfest this year, so I'll miss the Danville show.
The dedicated room will have my loop of track set up on some tables, and vendors. Its a small room for all that. So not really worth a long drive if only looking for 2 rail specific stuff. But you never know what the other vendors will have in the 2 big main rooms. Have a great time at Trainfest. Mike
To far for me to go. I usually go to the show in Franklin In. Didn't get to go this year due to illness. If it's anything like the Franklin show you won't be disappointed.
Franklin is a big bigger due to more buildings to put dealers. But Danville is big. Two large rooms filled with trains/layouts including the live steam group I am usually with. Then the dedicated 2 rail room which is a smaller conference room where I will be running trains myself, along with vendors for some 2 rail O and non tinplate S. This is the last big show prior to Christmas in this area that I am aware of. Lebanon is the next big show which is after the first of the new year. Mike. P.S. A preview of one of the engines that will be running, and my IMP Challenger with Rod Miller gearboxes that will be on display.
