I'm having trouble with my DCS variable channel working nicely with the Z Stuff DZ 1240 trolley controller.  I set the controller up without DCS (directly from the transformer) and it worked fine.  My Western Hobbycraft trolley runs to the end of the track.  An isolated outside rail senses the arrival and stops the trolley, then reverses the trolley after a few seconds.  Worked perfectly.  As soon as I used the DCS Variable for track power, the sensors don't work.  Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong. Here's the normal wiring without DCS in the picture

You're right about the constant voltage requirement for the board, but there are two power supplies required for this system.  One is board/sensor power which is always constant.  The other is track power.  In order to control the trolley speed, track power has to be variable.  I pull power to the board from one power supply (constant voltage) and track power from a separate source (variable). It's the variable track power that seems to be the problem.  The system works fine when variable track power is supplied from the transformer throttle-controlled channel.  When I tried to use a variable DCS channel as the track power, the sensors no longer work.
