I'm running Lionel LionChief on my layout and a I was wondering if I could hook up a DCS Remote Commander set to my tracks to run a Mth Railking Engine on it. I know there two different systems, and I don't want to burn out a engine doing it. Can this be done right?

Yes. 2 different communication types. Your limiting factor would be power supplied.
I'm using a 180W powerhouse on my layout. Is this good enough?

Yes
Not sure how to hook up the 2 systems, not sure if they will play well together. You might want to have a double pole double throw (DPDT)switch to supply one remote system or the other system's power to the track. Center tap to track and one remote system power supply to each end of switch.

They will play fine together, no need for any switching. You can simply connect the DCS-RC in passive mode to the tracks, red to center rail, black to outside rails, and you're all wired up.
Now I'm really confuse.
Ok, I'm wired up from my 180w powerhouse to my fastrack. All I need then is the dcs remote commander wired to another fastrack terminal. Right?
Correct, that will do the trick. You don't use the barrel jack, just the two binding posts to connect directly to the track.
Got it, thanks John.
