Glad to hear for everyone who has been waiting on the DCS system. That's great news!
I'll be excited to see a post saying, "Legacy is back in stock"
Maybe someday...
Does that include up-grade kitas?
If someone already has power (zw-l), what dcs components would be needed to get DCS operational on my layout. I also already have the 990 on order.
The 50-1001 Set is all you need other than MTH PS2 or PS3 engines.
You may want some Power plug adapters MTH #50-1017 to connect the Transformers to the inputs.
I also recommend a small wall wart power supply for Aux Input Power. This keeps you from losing all control if the transformer on Fixed 1 in pops a breaker.
Note that you will want to wire track accordingly. Blocks with one pair of power wires each.
Solidly recommend Barry's DCS Companion book (on MTH site) for detailed data on DCS operations.
The OGR Video is also a good source.
This is good news, but I am waiting for the new Wifi interface for the TIU and new app so I can use my iPad and iPhone to operate my MTH trains!

Don't hold your breath. The wi-fi TIU adapter won't be available until this Fall, at the earliest.

Bruce, if you mean is it the latest version, yes

Does that also include just the separate sale remote?
OK Charlie
Ordered..mail that thing.
Thanks

I plan to wait for the "new design" wireless DCS to be released and the "bugs" worked out before I buy any more MTH DCS equipment.

Good luck with that...
There is nothing concrete except a plan to introduce a new TIU that has wi-fi instead of a 900 MHz radio for talking to a possible new DCS Remote.
The new TIU will be the same as the current TIU except for the radio difference, and both are planned to be produced side by side.
The new remote, if it is made, will be wi-fi based and may, or may not, be able to speak to existing TIUs. Further, it may or may not be produced based on the relative success of the forthcoming paid-for DCS app due in the Fall.
Right now, I plan to continue using my current Rev. L TIUs and purchasing a wi-fi adapter for each one, thereby keeping my options open for the future.
As far as any new DCS software is concerned, my understanding is that any "new DCS" is quite a ways away, since it will be a complete rewrite. There is no word on what it will contain or when it will happen.
