Logan,

I was just wondering if it is possible, using the wifi-dcs app, to run both legacy and ps3 locomotives in the same train together, making a lash-up.

No, there is not.

There is no way whatsoever under DCS, using the DCS Remote or the DCS WiFi App, to build or operate a mixed lashup consisting of DCS and Legacy engines.

You'd have to operate each engine separately, at the same time. That would be neither easy to do nor a good idea.

Curtis,

Using The DCS App, you could make a DCS lashup, a Legacy lashup, a TMCC lashup, or a mixed Legacy/TMCC lashup.

barry what does the save lashup state softkey on the dcs remote do?

also I know using the wifi app legacy engines run in full legacy mode. do they run in legacy mode using the dcs handheld remote. you just cant quill the horn/whistle but everything else works such as getting 200 legacy speed steps. havent tryed a legacy engine or legacy lashup on the remote yet only the wifi. thanks.

Roger,

what does the save lashup state softkey on the dcs remote do?

It allows yo to make changes to a lashup's member's settings (lights, etc.) and save them for use by the lashup. The DCS App does the save automatically.

No, the remote thinks that Legacy engines are TMCC engines. It's completely ignorant of Legacy capabilities  The speed step options are for TMCC compatibility with, for example, EOB , although they also work for Legacy.

Legacy lashups on the remote are actually TMCC lashups.
