I have a couple of versions on MTH Geeps and RS3, PS2. On some they have a soft key to blow a road crossing signal, "SXS" some do not. Do you have to load a new program to get the "SXS" soft key? They all have the forward and reverse signal soft key.

When you click on MORE, do you find the crossing signal in that list? If so, is has it. I think most have the signal.
I should mention that you can reorder the soft key list so your desired keys appear as the first 16 in the list, those will be the softkeys you can scroll through and access directly.

I did look into the menu, apparently some did not get that key.
I have reordered a few so they show up in the first screen.

The crossing signal (sxs) came out on later PS2 models. It was not available on the earlier PS2 engines.
I've yet to encounter any without it, but I can believe it wasn't always there. You could look around for a similar sound file for a later locomotive that has different features. I've done this to get features like marker lights, cab lights, and the like when I'm upgrading existing PS/2 locomotives and want to add them.
IIRC, the grade crossing sequence came out in 2005. It was added mid-way through the release of the UP Heritage SD70ACe's. The first couple ACe's shipped without the SXS feature and an upgraded sound file was released a few months later. Trying to load the upgraded sound file in one of the early ACe's was what lead me to investigate the problems with the old loader program (v1.83). Boy, I don't miss that turkey!
