Hi Everyone. I'm new to the Forum but no to O gauge RR'ing. I am having a really challenging trying to get My Turbo Train to fire  back up. I'll try to fill you in. I have had wiring problems from day one and was able to repair or replace. Had it running great, then boom, more wiring problems. Found the bad wire and replaced both wiring harnesses on engines. Won't fire up. I did a factory reset and deleted it from my DCS just so I could reenter it, thinking that would help. Nothing?. All I get is "NO ENGINE TO BE FOUND". What did do wrong?  I've tried everything I know. DCS is not finding the engine. Everything on my lay is working perfectly except this . Any ideas? Thanks Art

Maybe try the recover engine feature under the engine set up menu.

Menu/system/ Engine set up/ recover engine.... Keep an eye on the remote, it goes by quickly and you hopefully  will get the message  "ENGINE RECOVERED "  or No engine to recover.

Is a remote reset possible? everything in the remote will be deleted including switches and all your engines. However it will also eliminate ID conflicts .   Does the thing run in conventional?

Thanks Gunrunnerjohn, but I don,t have a recover engine note on my screen. I just have add, edit and delete. My hand held works beautifully with all my other engines. I just tried and add a E6 Santa Fa and it worked perfect. This Turbo Train has been a nightmare from day one. Lots of wiring harness problems. Broken wires inside the rubber insulation right at the plug. Engine and cars both . Fixed them and also replaced both engines harnesses. Problem started when I deleted it from my remote as to reset it and re add it to the system. All I get is NO ENGINE TO ADD. Wierd. My DCS is on of the first to come out, maybe thats why I don,t have the Recover note.  Thanks you Guys. I'm thinking I may have deleted the engine program or something.

Hey Marty, My wiring problems started right out of the box. I Had to take off the shells and inspect each wire on the engine and cars. The problem is that some wires actually break inside their insulation and its always close to the 10 pin plug. I fixed some by checking each wire one at a time by gently pulling on the wire about a inch up from the plug. While pulling, if the insulation didn't stretch I knew  the wire was good. If I could see the insulation stretch I knew the wire was broken. So I would cut the wire at the break and skin back the insulation and re solder the wire.. The wires (for the most part) were broken just outside the plug and kinda tricky to re attach. A couple however were broken inside the plug so you would have to bybass and solder it to the corresponding wire on the other side of the plug.. I would fix it and the train would run just great then all of a sudden something else would break, sound, lights or just stop. So I ordered new wire harnesses for both engines and for 3 cars. Now nothing works. Oh brother. I think I'll just send it to MTH.
