Lets say I add an MTH engine into a DCS remote and the ID# assigned to the engine is 44. I then want to add that same locomotive to the DCS WIFI app in my phone, will the app assign the locomotive the same ID# that was added in the remote? Will I be able to control that engine from either my remote or DCS WIFI app depending which application I choose to use?

Yes, as long as that DCS ID# isn't already being used in the app.

Yes, as long as the DCS ID#'s are the same for the engine in the remote and the app.
if for some reason, it doesn't add where you'd like it to, use the edit and make it the address you'd like if it's open. If it's not open, move what's there first.
