Trying to see how many passenger trains I can run at one time on my single loop of track. The facts so far.

5 Amtrak locomotives~ 4 freight locomotives~ 31 freight cars~2 caboose~21 passenger cars~2 mail cars~ 1 loop of track at 300 feet~ four180 bricks~4 power districts~ 1 TIU and 1 remote~ track speed 45 smph. grade 2% 32 feet long. Still have 10 more passenger cars to add. Tomorrow I think I will do an Amtrak day !!

Thank you everyone ... In that video all the Amtrak have different numbers or names, there is 20 different Atlas CZ cars. I don't think any others where made for 3 rail ?  The Atlas Horizon cars I have one to many diners, I would like to trade for a coach. I couldn't find the Horizon cars in a different paint scheme.

Thanks Paul..... I'm suppose to be adding to the last unfinished area, just been to lazy.

WILLYGEE...... All those lights really hurt, the Super Liners are really hungry.

RSJB18.......thank you, going to add a narrow gauge in there.

BRIANSILVERMUSTANG.......You have to get back up here and take more video's.

ENGINEER-JOE........Have I got a deal for you

Alex........Thanks for the kind words, I have a couple of your structures on there.

MIKE-G.......Thanks!  well I enjoy my Amtrak, I usually go on 2 train trips a year, this year only one so far,my injury's slowed me down a bit.

PENNSYNUT......... Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Well That explains the lack of a Viewliner on the Superliner consist. By the Way Clem, a very nice and sceniced Layout!

This trains are like a bad disease. Where's Matt my leader????

Hopefully he is brushing up on his knowledge of Diesel Spotting with K-bach's Diesel Spotter Guide!

On Another thread your "Leader" seems to have a "memory lapse" of what the difference is between an Erie Built and a C-liner...

https://ogrforum.com/...80#76607711818757480

Makes ME wonder if he also is affected between:

  • differences of an EMD F series units and E series units and/or
  • GE C40-8 and C40-9, C40-9W, C44-9W , B40-8, and B32-8
  • EMD SD60M, SD60MAC, SD70M, SdD70MAC, SD70M-2, SD70ACE,SD80, SD90/43 and SD90's
  • ALCo C424,and C628, and C630, and C636

I have now found my favorite thread. I love Amtrak and it's great to see someone with the collection I aim to have. I started with the now-rare Railking RTR Surfliner set (have all 6 cars) and I've managed to snag 2 of the original Phase V P42s and a K-Line sleeper. Man those K-Line cars are expensive. If only they made a Sightseer Lounge I could have a prototypical Coast Starlight set. Guess I'll just have to sub in another diner which isn't that unrealistic (seen it before).

A beautiful collection you have there. Thank you for sharing this.

I would advise keeping that Surfliner loco and hunting down all 6 of the K-Line California cars which are gorgeous and the only scale California cars made in O-Scale ever. The cabcar is awesome.
