Differences between Lionel and MTH bluetooth

Got my lionel 7640 bluetooth working--my first experience with such. I also have a MTH Premier 200 Amtrak diesel. The lionel system works directly off my phone--no other hardware needed. I've downloaded the MTH DCS bluetooth app, but it seems to want more hardware before it will work. HELP. Can someone please tell if and what I need?

Currently, I can have the AMTRAK running conventional with the 7640 simultaneously on the same track running under bluetooth. Way cool, but getting greedy.

You downloaded the MTH Wi-Fi app not Bluetooth. You need an MTH DCS Wi-Fi interface unit to use the app on your phone. MTH #50-1034.

Or, you can get a DCS Explorer and use the free app. The Explorer is about $135.00 or I believe its included in the MTh ready to run sets.

Just FYI, the MTH Wi-Fi unit (WIU) also requires the TIU to operate. If you just have the one MTH loco, the Explorer integrated unit would be substantially less expensive.
