I recently purchased a Southern Railway, the British Southern, A1 Terrier 0-6-0 tank engine and I am looking to build some proper looking stock to run with it. The old Lionel bobber cabooses bases look like good candidates, I just need the length and width of the base for scale reasons. Thanks for any help you can offer.

MTH made a number of really nice bobber cabooses. Not aware that Lionel made any.

Are you talking about the low dollar starter set type bobber caboose? I can't remember lionel doing any higher end bobbers.
K, hang on a bit
Mth bobber vs lionel starter set from my daughter's pet shop set.
Overall frame is roughly 5-1/16"
Axle to axle is 3" even
Max width is 2-1/4" at the steps.
General view of the underside. The construction is basically snap together.
Hope this is the info you wanted.
