I'm looking at purchasing one or more of those bi-level passenger cars, but am unsure if they'd run well on O-31.
Graham's says they fit on O-31 "minimum", but they are also about 17" long, and in our experience, most 17" cars don't fit on consecutive O-31 curves or over Lionel 0-22 switches.
  • Operate on O-31 or greater curves
  • Cars measure: L-17"  W-2-3/8"  H-4"
Back when we ran O-27, we've had a car that "fit" on O-27 but scraped on the switches.  I'm got similar concerns with these.
I expect they'd overhang the center rail on curves.  Is this true?
Any help or advice would be appreciated, especially in the next five hours while I still have the chance to purchase them.
Thank you.

@Micro - According to a Price and Rarity Guide that I have for early MTH releases, both of the RailKing Amtrak product numbers to which you refer have cars which are 12.5 inches long and are capable of running on 027 curves.  As for the MTH Premier Santa Fe 60 ft. cars (20-6122), according to the Guide they are 15 inches long and are capable of running on 031 curves.

Hope this helps to put your mind at rest; notwithstanding gunrunnerjohn's comment.

Thank you, I appreciate both your and GRJ' comments.
I fear that either your book or the box must be in error.  NOTE:  EBAY LINK REMOVED PER OGR Terms of Service.
