Rev L (and newer, if there is a newer?) has a USB port. Pretty sure Rev L is the current model.
AFAIK, Rev. L is the latest TIU. However, I have seen at least to different board layouts for Rev. L TIU's, so there have been changes during the production run.
Only the Rev. L has the USB port.
My Rev L does not have a visible USB port. It is an early Rev L.
Do the recent Rev L's have a USB port seperate from the RS-232 PC INPUT?
How do you connect tthe LIONEL Command Base?
You sure it's a Rev. L? That was one of the defining features of the Rev. L.
The Rev. L TIU's that I have all have the serial port and the USB port. One is from right after they were released.
John, It says Rev.L
Where is the USB port located?
Between the Proto-Dispatch and AIU jacks on the side.
Note that it's not labeled.
There is a port of some kind.
What kind of cable does it take?
Maybe mistakenly, I think of the USB port as having a flat connection with a swiggle icon on one side that looks somewhat like a stick person.
USB A to B cable.
That would be the USB port.
