I like my LHS, but paying $5-$7 every time I need a bulb is getting to me...

I think if you go to a place like Bulbtown, you can find almost any bulb. I recently bought the tiny screw base bulbs in 6V and 14V from them that go into MTH stuff.
P/N 610-8049-300. Lionel has them in stock.

That Lionel shipping charge is a killer...
Brassuers has it. You'll have to contact them regarding shipping.

Ebay has a couple of sellers.
NOTE: per TOS, ebay link not allowed.
What about a WTB add here on the forum? Someone probably has a bin of these bulbs and could drop one in an envelope for a decent price
Have you tried auto parts stores? They have many 12v bulbs and some have wire terminals (bulbs used for side marker lights on older cars) that could be cut off to fit the picture you showed.

Here is a good source for hard to find lightbulbs. Op Tech Lightbulbs located in Andover Massachusetts.
Jeff ,
After reading your post I made a note to dig in my box of bulbs as I recall seeing some 2 pin bulbs in it. Sure enough I found them and fired a couple up. They glow perfect at 12-14 volts and pull about 40 mills. There were no markings on the bags other than a part number which got me nowhere since they are old. I purchased a box of about 700 bulbs from a radio repair person who retired. Most are from car radios but there were some odd ones. So i am guessing they are 12 volts. If you would like to give them a try just send me your address and I will send them off to you. My email is in my profile. JP
I would think that supporting your LHS would be important. How about making out a list of bulbs you want to keep on hand and have your LHS put together an assortment for you to purchase. We all bemoan the demise of the LHS, but when we are asked to spend money....all of a sudden our values change.
Why?
I do all my shopping online. If it is available your most likely to find it online.
I gave up hobby shops many years ago when most of them never had what I wanted and when they did have it they treated like it was gold.

"Gave up hobby shops" :-(
I Wanted a couple boxes of bulbs for the 022 and switch levers.
Got them, reasonable price, and the glass surrounding was too big for the Red/Green lantern.

search pin ball machines on ebay. Many are interchangable and led.
