When I was in school I would sometimes help my grand dad. We would take scrap metal to a scrapyard. It was in a little town just outside the city of Charlotte.
Any way some time I would see 3 or 4 southern railway freight trains going north. Then I would see 3 or 4 freight going south. They seemed to be about 20 to maybe 40 minutes apart. I was floored by this being that I was from Monroe NC. And the Seaboard Air Line RR back then it was Seaboard Coast Line.
So I was wondering has any body ever tried it on a layout?
