I don't have the box, stock number or operators manual and could not find the answer when I Googled it.
Does the MTH Susquehanna #3638 diesel engine with Proto 2 run on 031 curves?
I doubt it because it's about 18 inches long, and the longest MTH diesel that I already have that barely navigates my 022 switches and does "the bump" when running through my 022 switches without derailing, is about 15 inches long.

I'm amazed that a diesel 18 and one-half inches long will run through 031 curves. Later today, I will actually run it on my layout and then report back. Arnold
Arnold, notice that the trucks have blind- meaning no flanges on the 3rd axle. This is how and why a Railking is typically rated for O-31 curves.
Vernon, I have an MTH Proto 3 CSX Diesel that came with a set. Terrific locomotive, runs, sounds and smokes great., and it barely makes it thru my 022 switches. This is the engine the does "the bump" dance thru my 022 switches and doesn't derail. The bottom middle of the chassis nudges the plastic cover of the 022 switches.
I will run the Susquehanna later after my wife wakes up to see it navigates my 022 switches and 022 curves, then report back.
