There was a video in the McComas Tuoy 6 video sent of a beautiful O Gauge layout in the home of a dentist (I think his name was Primmer) and his son. The dentist called the layout: "Heaven."

We find room for our layouts were we can don't we. I enjoy seeing others full basement layouts, but there are many of us that don't have the room for that and have to make due. I had to make mine a little higher off the floor than I wanted so I could still have some storage space for all the other "stuff" including the Christmas tree and decorations. This worked out well for me as a little more space for expansion was had when we got the front loading washer and dryer. Thanks for sharing the picture of your layout. You have packed a lot of action over those filing cabinets and it looks like fun.

When the old top loader washer and front loader dryer went bad I told the wife I would get her some nice front loaders. She wanted the raised bases they go on but I told her they were a little pricey for what they were. I knew the raised bases would make the table I was going to add over the new washer and dryer higher than the rest of the layout. It was at that point she figured out what I was up to but being the good wife she is, she laughed and agreed to my plan. Hopefully the D&W Shortline will be able to expand soon using this space so I can run trains around the whole room. Will need a lift out bridge where we come into the room to complete the circle.

I guess all of our layouts, no matter how big or how small, are our little slice of heaven. Mine takes me back to when I was a kid and makes me young at heart, even though I'm older in years. Fun having some of the things I could never afford when I was a kid. We are very blessed. Always enjoy seeing pictures of your layout and reading your posts.

Eagle Ridge RR after the name of the subdivision we live in.
Growing up and living jus about all of my life in Pennsylvania, and because all of my locomotives and rolling stock have liveries from all over North America, I chose THE PENN AMERICAN RAILROAD. (Soon to be constructed).
I've been kicking around ideas for a logo and a paint scheme, and a website down the road to go along with YouTube videos as I go.
