Truly impressive work. I'm a little OCD on anything that can be planned or programmed. A great friend and fellow programmer is the only reason some of my work was completed. Hence my signature line below. Looking forward to seeing trains run.

Yes, I'm itching to get trains running. I have a new F3 AB coming from 3rd rail and I want to run it on the layout, not a test track.
I'm like the tortious in the "tortious and the hair" story.
I will get there eventually.
It wasn't long ago that My first loop got powered and I got to run something, that was a very fun event!

Not very exciting, but the base for my turntable is almost complete. 3/4" (19mm) ply should align perfectly with the existing upper deck. A carved out sheet of Baltic birch will fit perfectly.
Keith, that looks like a real sturdy base for the turntable! What brand and size do you have?

Mark, it's the recent Atlas turnout. It's not a lot of space, so I won't be able to fully utilize the turntable, but it's better than nothing.
I agree Keith. Everything I have read says it is much improved over the original.
I've been absent for the last 3 years. In part because I went through a man health issue, which I'm pleased to say has and is going well. However, my lack of productivity has been due to my layout being in an out building. I just don't have the ambition to go down stairs, out in the weather and up stairs to get to the layout.
I'm selling my home in NH and moving back to Canada. I hope to close on a home with a 24'x24' family (train) room in a finished basement.
I'll dismantle my layout with the help of my youngest son and hopefully it will survive the move. It will be a motivator to have my son involved. He's keen.
Current plan is to be in my new home late July.
Keith, I’m glad you are doing much better health wise!! It sounds like a good plan, especially since your son can help and share the hobby with you! I wish you well with your move and look forward to seeing you posting about the layout again when you are in your new home!
