Today's work on the Prosperity, West Virginia scene included first placement of some of the fall foliage on the ridges surrounding the town. The river valley, of which Prosperity is part, will be entirely an autumn scene.
As you can see from the pictures, we built the river valley space too narrow for fat old guys like us. DON'T DO WHAT WE DID! make your work spaces and operating spaces comfortably wide.
Synopsis of today's accomplishments: Clyde Klinker Coal & Coke tipple got 3rd and 4th coats of paint and was glued in place; ridges and rocks which were plastered yesterday were painted and stained; track was painted black and then thoroughly cleaned in prep for ballasting (probably tomorrow); Polecat Peerless Pocahontas Colliery was glued in place; first foliage put in place.
You can see the master (George Lasley) at work in some of the photos.
