The USGS reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck at 3:04 pm "centered in the Youngstown area". Since 3 pm is a little early in the day for a Polka Band at a wedding reception to reach Critical Mass, the only other reason for an earthquake in the Youngstown area MUST be an "earthshaking event" At OGR World Headquarters. So, what was it:
- Has Allan decided to sell all his tinplate 0 and switch to Japanese prototype N scale ?
- Has Kalmbach bought out OGR ?
- Has Ed cornered the market on 6017 cabooses ?

Inquiring minds need to know !

Best, SZ [ who also wishes all OGR staffers and their families a Healthy, Safe, Happy 2012...]

If this is for real, I never felt a thing.

Rich,

You are one lucky sonofagun. First to be at the throttle of OGR; then to be at the throttle of good ol'# 265 and lastly to be on the throttle of a 1957 Chysler 300C!!. Make me really jealous and tell me that you have the 390 hp option. Those cars really opitimize the saying "Ain't no car like a Mopar" which those newer Chrysler products have never even heard. Oh Bill, don't I wish! My 300C is not a '57, but I sure wish it was.

My 300C is a 2007 Heritage Edition, which honors the Beautiful Brute of 1957. I was only 11 years old in 1957 and a confirmed MOPAR guy even then. You have no idea how I lusted after the '57 300C...but at 11 years old it was just a dream.

When we get the new forum up and running, I'll post a little video of my 300C.
A friend of mine worked for a lawyer restoring cars and one of them was a 300-F

It was pearl white and had the hubcap in the trunk lid. Which I thought was pretty cool.

The best part was the 426 Hemi under the hood with dual ram intake and 4 barrel carbs!!

The intake for the right bank went to the left side and vice versa, what a beast!

The EPA would love them today, lol.
Sorry not a C,but more impressive.

Doug

PS,the saying is: Mopar or no car,lol
Doug,

The Fs had 413 wedge engines albeit with those most desirable crossrams. 426 Hemis (wedges were earlier) were first offered in 1964 and it wasn't until 1969 that Chrysler offered, IMHO, a 'streetable' version that you didn't need to retune almost every other tankful. The '67 & 68s were bears to keep in tune. But boy, could they run!

Bill
