Must admit that I have no idea what you are referring to.

 

1) If you mean EMD, i.e. Electro=Motive Division of General Motors Corporation, or maybe the new company Electro-Motive Diesel, then the E and the M and the D should be canalized.

 

2) Having retired form EMD after 36 1/2 years, in late 1998, I must admit I have never heard of an "rb3600".

Well, in my opinion that is all railfan/model railroader BS. I was the Sales Engineer for the SP, among other customers, from late 1971 through 1974, and I can tell you that no such thing was "proposed" to the SP. Also, during late 1963 through spring 1964, I toured the U.S. railroads as a member of the EMD maintenance crew on the GP35,DD35,DD35,GP35 demonstrator set, and no such discussions about twin 12-567 diesels was ever discussed, especially since the 16-567D3A turbocharged engine produced 2500HP for traction, thus a DD35 was 5000HP for traction.
