Hi neighbor, that's a great idea, beautiful job, very Inventive....WOW...
Yep, that's a good one!!! Thanks for passing along the technique.
Thanks for your interest guys.
Actually I started out looking for pipes for another car. PVC is too heavy and the wrong size. I found these in Hobby Lobby’s cake decoration section.
Ron, that’s one number we all know too well. Larry, about time for another visit. Quick and easy project you can all enjoy in modeling trains.
Steve,
Your imagination never stops to amaze me. Awesome.

Back at-cha Alex, always enjoy your craftsmanship creations!
Mohawk Valley Carpet Mill will probably need more than just one car load, LOL!
Outstanding Idea!

Steve, your modeling skills are well-earned and over the top. Your imagination brings us closer to the power of creative thought when in service of realism. You've inspired me before; thanks!
Excellent modelling skills... But dang, now I can't get that silly jingle out of my head!!!

Looks great but wonder how they would load and unload the goods without damaging them.
I guess starting with the top roll, the carpet was angled - bent and slid out as they worked their way to the bottom of the pile?
Well done Steve. I like stuff like this!
Ingenious. And same day delivery.
If they were shipped in a double door boxcar, maybe a forklift would have enough room to maneuver and unload the boxcar.

I grew up seeing that commercial. Now that song is stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Great photos though.
Dang!!That is an alsome job you did here.I have grown up near a building center in monroe .And they did have big rolls of carpet just like that.Your even right about the plastic covering.I have seen such loads like that in boxcars.I have seen big rolls of paper.Great job I am gonna try to come up with some thing to put in some of my freight cars.
Phetterplace, I hope I am spelling your name correctly, if that isn't the coolest and most clever boxcar load I have ever seen, I am a monkey's uncle.
most creative!
