engine goes full speed @ 1smph | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have a MTH premier SD-70Ace (C&O #1986), when I set the dcs remote to 1 smph the engine goes full speed the only way to controll it is to lower the track voltage. I have reset it, made sure it was in dcs mode, but nothing works. It aslo when it takes off stay in idoling sounds too.

Those symptoms suggest the tape reader is not working. Check the alignment of the reader and verify all connections to it are tight.
