Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here and i much appreciate if you can provide assistance. The problem i have is that some of my mth engines will not start up when i turn on transformer. No lights, smoke or anything. But my older engines work and lighted cars work as well. I last ran these trains about 2 mos ago with problem but now nothing. Thanks,!

So what is your set-up for power and control?
Have you followed the instructions?
Charged the batteries?
What are these engine's model numbers exactly?

The very first thing to check is the condition of the internal battery. Remove and replace any "old" batteries with fully charged ones.
Like Joe said, exact MTH product numbers for the problem engines.
Check your switches on the engine. Make sure they are set correctly for either for 3 rail or 2 rail and DCS vice DCC.
None of the help is useful with out knowledge of your trains. Conventional or DCS operation. DCRU, PS-1 or PS-2 or 3 trains. All we know is you have track power to a layout. Do you have a DCS system? Only way we can really help you. G
