I was tinkering around this afternoon and installed a pair of Cool White LED's in one my Bachmann Genesis locos, what a major difference compared to the factory light bulb. You can see the difference between the two in a couple of the attached pictures. One loco down and a bunch more to do! What to you guys & gals think?

Very nice. LEd's are the way to go. Looks great Less maintenance. FWIW, I would use Warm White for the HEadlights and get Cool White/Blue Led Strobes for the strobe lights on the top left and right corners of these locos. the Blue strobe effect is just awesome when seen.
Wow! Loco looks awesome. I really like the night picture. It really gives the feel of the real thing.
Yes, yes buy more LEDs

I did a few myself today with some of my RailKing engines that had the big globe light in them. These lights from Evans are great. Now I'm going to do all of them. The price is really affordable and the light effect is unbelievably real!
I'm about to install some of these in a "wave scheme" Genesis dummy that's getting a power-kit upgrade, though I'm also looking to mount a couple in the ditch-light openings.
Did you mount yours behind the lenses or replace them with the LED's (and for that matter, were those the 3mm ones that you used in your upgrade?)

Those look great! Evans LED's are the way to go. They are all I use in my engines and around the layout for cars ect.
Thanks a bunch for using our LEDs.
We are very happy to hear that they are working great for everyone.
I want to mention a new LED product that we recently added by customer request that may come in handy for certain mounting requirements.
Separated Universal LEDs
Great products and terrific customer service.
