I picked up these two houses off E-Bay listed as H0, made by F Bowers & R Mullen. When they arrived, they were near perfect clones of the Lionel 184 Bungalow.

Anyone have any info on this company? The names and what looks like TCA member numbers are stamped on the bottom, as well as being stamped into the metal.

Any info would be appreciated.

thanks

Steve

Thanks for the info Ron. The metal work is very nice. Did he only do the solid colors or did some come with litho type details.

Frank is still around saw him at the April York meet.

Frank only made the solid color ones. Being a 'purist' I didn't like them because they weren't painted the same colors as the originals.

Prior to the introduction Frank's repros, John Devanzo had made lithographed bodied 184/185 reproductions. To my tastes there was too much 'black' in the printing. To date I don't recall having seen any of these on the secondary market and I think he made them some thirty years ago.
