Picked up a few new Fandor 8-wheel passenger coaches this weekend.

3215 International Express coach. Not in the best shape but cheap.

3215 pullman

Also won a 5412 baggage car and three more International Express coaches at the Nette Auction.

Now to scavenge a few doors and one roof. They will go nicely with the 6570 baggage car I picked up last year.

6570 coach won 20.00

Don't know why the 8-wheel cars strike my fancy, the trucks look boxy and tall, but I like the look and craftsmanship of the coaches and most have simple T&S couplers and are similar in height to the Bing boxcars and Pullmans and Ives freights on T-trucks.

Those are all nifty cars but they made the wheels and trucks so big! ...

i only have a few Fandor pieces and they are all 4-wheel freight cars, but my guess is that their passenger cars were also built to a small scale so the wheel size is a lot more exaggerated, especially when they have to sit completely below 4-wheel truck bolsters.

it is rather funny seeing a passenger car wheel just about as big as a doorway, though.
cheers...gary
