A friend of mine was having some DCS problems and invited me to his home to troubleshoot the problem. Everything is running now. I took these photos.

I ran models of two F-series diesel locomotives on my 12’-by-8’ layout for this weekend.
Amtrak #102 was an EMD F7 Phase 1 locomotive. The model was made by Atlas O (30134002) in 2015 at MSRP $499.95 with TMCC and is pulling two Amtrak passenger cars by MTH. The real locomotive was Northern Pacific 6509A prior to becoming Amtrak #102 in 1972. It was built in November 1949 and retired in October 1975.
Metro-North #412 is a K-Line model (K2544-0412) delivered in 2000 at MSRP $309.95. I’ve been unable to find reliable information on the real #412. I ran the model with two Metro-North 21-inch commuter coaches by Atlas O. Cars of this type ran in Connecticut as did Metro-North #413, which was painted in the same livery as seen here on #412.

A 2023 Christmas Layout memory.
I have a few images that I have not used from the 2023 layout during the course of this year. Here are some not-yet-used pictures.

Here are some photos from this past weekend's Greenberg show in Monroeville, PA:
One of us was running a battery-powered locomotive as a test on Saturday (it ran for 4 hours straight pulling a short train before quitting).
On Sunday at the show, planning for our Kennywood Holiday Lights was finalized:
And after tear-down at Monroeville, we went straight to Kennywood to off-load two trailer loads and several car loads (the first of many) and take our annual Kennywood group photo.

Demarcation point for BNSF & BJRR Montogomery Illinois. No man's land, note the tie plates driven into the ground to keep the track straight.

Those are gorgeous trains!
I've been playing around with adding some HO scale buildings in the background. The buildings were a gift from a friend.
