With all the complaining that goes on about MTH's service department, here's what just happened with a repair I needed...

My L4b Mohawk broke last weekend (November 10th).
I called MTH for an RA the following monday (the 12th), and shipped it late wednesday. It was logged into their service department last friday (the 16th).

It was on my doorstep today, fixed (tach reader failed), and running like a champ in my basement as I type this... a 3 day turn around. I'm quite impressed.

Stepping off the soapbox now

Not when they have probably a thousand or so in their facility that came in RTR sets, separate sale, etc. It is a Railking Imperial SD70. Since that is the case, you'd think it would go a lot faster since it doesn't really make sense to send it back to China to get repainted when they could pull one off the shelf and be done.
