just wondering what is a good dpdt relay to use for wiring a block signal to fastrack? Also a diagram of how this is done. Thanks in advance id love to put my signals up.

HI, PLEASE GO TO INTEGRATED SIGNALS SYSTEMS.COM

Here's one approach
Chuck,
Please take a look at wiring Diagram below.
What specific signal are you using? Do you want to use insulated rails or IR detection? There are tons of ways to trigger them, just have to know what you have in mind.
Just a basic red and green block signal. Id like to use insulated rails.
Try this, I just use surplus 12V relays for this circuit, the ones I have are reclaimed from old control boards. You can size the capacitor for the delay you'd like to have before the relay drops out. The 22uh choke is for DCS compatibility so it won't affect MTH DCS operation. I pick a relay primarily to limit the inrush current to the relay, for the 25ma coils on my relays here, I have a 100 ohm resistor. I power it from track power, though you can power it from aux power if you desire, just connect the aux power to the Center Track connection. The sense track is the insulated track, and the Outside Track & Signal Common is just a tie point for the ground returns.
