Section of 0-36 curve giving me trouble again. Before it was continuity, so squeezing with needle-nose pliers at center rail at connection point fixed it. Now, again, track only gets power if I move a boxcar over that point and it seems to bypass the problem. Before it failed continuity test, but now I get a signal with continuity. I checked resistance at that connection and it has about double the resistance of other sections. Again, these sections are permanently down so replacing will not be easy at all.

Is there a way to fix resistance without removing the track?

Also, voltage is stable across that section as well. No voltage drop.

My terminology may be bad, and I may have misdiagnosed the problem, but something is up with that section as I can "fix" it by putting the car there. However, it only seems to work when several cars are attached. Checked continuity along that whole line and they passed.
