I have a fastrack switch that chatters when a train goes through. I found a post about the limit switches and building up the pad on the black triangle but still having the issue and the limit switch is fully engaged. I suspect I could have bad limit switches. Anyone have that experience that both switches have gone bad?

I've never seen both go bad Marty, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.
I had this happen when I ran the switch on position #1 on an SC-2 even with the trace cut. It also chattered when I pulled the lever on the controller the direction it was already in.
Does the switch throw properly when the first car goes through? I had one that chattered back and forth without throwing. It turned out that the switch was slightly off-level transversely - not enough to see with the naked eye, but putting a level on it showed the problem. I leveled it and the problem went away.
The switch works normally in all other aspects. When a train goes through when the switch is set to through, it chatters as if trying to "stay" in the through position.

That's what mine did also in addition to the holding the remote lever on the position it was already set to. But it had to do with using position #1 on the SC-2. When I used just #2 to #6, the problem went away. I never tried to sort out why.
