Fastrack switch direction issue

Use a meter to confirm the switch is good. Continuity or ohm's setting, no voltage.

Use the wires, off of the switch and momentarily touch THRU and OUT to GND to confirm switch operation.

Lastly, confirm the wire connections on the switch THRU, OUT and GND terminals. They can be finicky about wire placement and wire length protruding through the rear of the terminal.

This should help decide where to look.

Did you actually check to see if the two limit switches actually work electrically?  That would be my top suspect.

Thank you for your responses. As you suggested, I did some more troubleshooting and have narrowed down the culprit to the wires from the contacts to the circuit board. When I connect the wires on the backside of the connector plug on the circuit board manually, the switch throws in both directions. When I plug it back in and trigger it from the contacts, it only works in one direction.

Now the question is, how to fix it. I don't have a fine soldering iron to go straight to the board. I would have to figure out what the plug size is and replace that. The only replacement part info I can find online is for the switch stand. Any ideas?

Check out this repair (pdf attached) from the factory and see if it applies. It could be that you have a switch with the wires reversed.

The most likely suspect is the connection from the track to the wiring to the board.

I finally figured it out - and it is a head scratcher. My wiring was crossed between the switch controller and the turnout. After trying a couple new combinations  it worked. Problem solved.
